About the Company:

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established waste management and recycling company operating a large processing facility in Nottingham. The business specialises in the handling, sorting, and processing of waste and recyclable materials, providing essential services to commercial and industrial customers across the region.

The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join the night shift team at a busy recycling and waste processing site. This is a hands-on role operating heavy plant machinery within a fast-paced environment, supporting the movement and processing of materials across the site.

Shift Pattern & Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 06:00pm – 04:00am Night Shift

Pay & Benefits:

  • £14.12 per hour + holiday pay
  • Weekly pay
  • Immediate start available
  • Ongoing work with an initial contract of up to 6 weeks
  • Potential extension available based on workload and performance

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently within a busy recycling facility
  • Loading and moving waste and recyclable materials around the site
  • Feeding materials into processing equipment and stockpiles
  • Loading vehicles and containers as required
  • Carrying out daily machine inspections and reporting defects
  • Maintaining safe and efficient site operations
  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures and site rules
  • Assisting with general operational duties where required

Requirements:

  • Previous loading shovel operating experience essential
  • Valid loading shovel ticket preferred
  • Experience within waste management, recycling, aggregates, or similar industries preferred
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable and able to work independently on night shifts

Start & Duration:

  • Immediate / ASAP start available
  • Up to 6 weeks work initially
  • Possibility of extension for the right candidate
