We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, test, and validate reliable electrical systems for a range of advanced mechanical and electrical products. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring systems, and panel layouts in line with relevant standards and regulations.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and parts lists.
- Conduct simulations and engineering analyses to support and validate designs.
- Select appropriate electrical and electronic components for system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Support the development of control strategies in collaboration with software/controls engineers.
- Contribute to new product development and enhancement of existing designs.
- Develop and implement testing methods to ensure product quality and performance.
- Apply knowledge of safety‑critical systems to electrical design work.
- Provide technical support in line with internal standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND, degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar electrical design role.
- Experience using industry‑standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
- Ability to read and produce detailed electrical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and design standards.
- Experience working within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
