The predicted salary is between 55000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Barrow, Cumbria

Rate: £275 - £300/day (dependent on level of experience)

Duration: Ongoing long-term work

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations
  • Manage subcontractors, labour, and plant
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations
  • Coordinate with project manager, engineers, and client
  • Monitor progress against programme and report on milestones
  • Maintain site records, RAMS, and permits
  • Deliver quality control and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Lead site meetings and toolbox talks

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within civil engineering
  • Strong background in areas such as groundworks, highways, drainage, demolition, etc
  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card (Black/Gold preferred)
  • First Aid at Work (desirable)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical plans
  • You must have SC Clearance or the ability to obtain
