Residential Conveyancing Assistant

Employment type: Full-time, Permanent, office-based.

Location: Congleton

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their Congleton team. Working alongside experienced conveyancers, you will support a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, managing files from initial instruction right through to completion and closure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the team with the full range of residential conveyancing matters, from initial instruction through to file closing.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, solicitors, referrers, and estate agents by phone and email to progress transactions smoothly.
  • Handle a range of tasks including file opening, ordering of title documents and searches and preparing required forms and documentation with the supervision of a fee earner.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and well-organised files in line with regulatory and internal standards.

To be considered for the role you will need:

  • 12 months’ + experience in a conveyancing assistant role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Confident using IT systems, including document management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work accurately under pressure, managing competing deadlines with strong organisational skills.
