Our client is a key partner within the waste to energy industry, specialising in the supply of raw materials to the manufacturing and construction sectors. They are committed to efficiency, offering cost-effective, low-carbon aggregate solutions for a range of construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects, also supplying recovered metals for remanufacture. They are now looking to recruit a number of Multi-Skilled Engineers to join their team.
The primary function of these roles is to ensure that all plant, equipment and services are safely maintained in line with the companies CMMS & PPM system and to fulfil all statutory regulations. Some of the duties and responsibilities that you will undertake are:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide array of machinery, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to reduce downtime and optimize operational performance.
- Undertake site inspections and maintenance to ensure the smooth functioning of all equipment.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Stay updated with advancements in technology to recommend upgrades and improve systems.
- Document engineering work, including detailed records of repairs, inspections, and progress on ongoing projects.
- Diagnosing faults, interpreting technical drawings, and utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently.
- Troubleshoot unexpected breakdowns and implement efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure workspaces and machinery areas remain clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Ideal candidates will possess a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset that they can apply to engineering operations. To consider applying you should have worked as an engineer within a construction, demolition, recycling or similar environment and have served an apprenticeship in, or hold relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications. You must be looking to work in an environment that encourages continuous personal and professional development.
In return you can expect to receive a basic salary in excess of £50,000 per annum, starting with 31 days holidays (including bank holidays), contributory pension and an Employee Assistance Program.
