We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtainside lorries to deliver goods across various locations. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV lorries, specialising in curtainside transportation.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement during transit.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically with curtainside vehicles.
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Valid Class 1 HGV licence is essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Experience in handling and securing cargo on flatbeds is advantageous.
