The predicted salary is between 37200 - 41600 £ per year.
We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Strengthening the maintenance department to ensure machine productivity is at an optimal level. Working as part of a team, this is a permanent position working on shifts. Initially, the successful candidate will work on the day shift to get up to speed with all the machines. This would be Monday to Friday 7am till 4pm. Once competent, you would move on to a 2-week shift pattern:
- Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday
It is a standard 38.5 hours per week and there is overtime available.
About the role:
- To provide efficient solutions to the development and processes and products.
- Working at all stages of a product from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissions.
- Maintaining equipment and rectifying breakdown and assisting with projects.
- Design and implement cost-effective equipment modification to help improve safety and reliability.
- Undertake Electrical and Mechanical projects as and when required using engineering principles and techniques.
- Ensuring that all repairs, breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work is completed to a high standard.
- Comply with all existing Safe Working Practices (SWPs) and contribute to the continuous improvement of these.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified at HNC or HND level.
- Solid background in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Extrusion, Print and conversion machines is desired.
- Good understanding of PLC, Drives and Industrial Electrical systems.
- Mechanical experience is advantageous.
- Good fault finding skills.
- Effective communicator in relation to any issues and faults found.
The Package:
- Permanent position.
- Standard 38.5 per week.
- Overtime rate at time and a half.
- Rate between £18 and £20 per hour depending upon experience.
