We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join our growing team, covering the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial and light industrial sites. This role is ideal for a reliable, self-motivated engineer with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and heat pump systems
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance visits
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
- Accurately complete service reports, certification, and job documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients on-site, providing technical advice where required
- Participate in emergency call-out rota (if applicable)
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience in air conditioning service and maintenance
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification (mandatory)
- Proven experience working on commercial air conditioning systems
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant site safety certifications
- Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Toshiba, or similar
- Basic controls or BMS knowledge
