We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our children’s residential home. You will provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations, the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF), and the Children’s Homes National Minimum Standards (NMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, safe, and nurturing care to children and young people
- Promote safeguarding and ensure children’s welfare is always paramount
- Support children with daily routines, education, health, and social development
- Implement care plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Work effectively with colleagues and external professionals
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in a care setting
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to regulatory standards
Desirable Criteria
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it
- Experience supporting children with complex needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
