360 Connections Group Ltd are leaders in the placement of personnel within the industrial sector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our industry leading clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services essential for our operations.
Ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills, experience with ERP systems, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
Duties:
- Negotiate deals with suppliers to keep material costs low
- Source new suppliers as necessary
- Resolve supply issues and implement solutions to stop re-occurrence
- Support the design team during the new product development process
- Conduct supplier audits with the support of the Quality team
- Generate ideas and drive actions that support our company strategy
- Drive sustainability, continuous improvement and lean endeavors
- Other ad-hoc Purchasing & Planning tasks as required
Skills & Experience:
- Experience gained within a manufacturing environment essential
- A capable and experienced purchasing professional, able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills
- Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Organised, detail-oriented and driven, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused and adaptable in a fast moving manufacturing environment with frequent priority/demand changes
- A team player, able to communicate well with peers and leadership
- Ability to manage projects and prioritise actions
- Assertive, reliable and able to make decisions based on their own sound judgment
- Experience working with an ERP system – Syteline preferred
- Educated ideally to CIPS Diploma/Level 4 or above
