The Role: We are recruiting 2 Out of Hours Coordinators to join our team. This is a fully remote, part-time role offering flexibility while playing a vital part in supporting services outside of standard working hours. You will be the key point of contact during the weekends and bank holidays, ensuring incidents, safeguarding concerns, and staffing issues are managed effectively and escalated appropriately.
Hours & Shift Pattern: This is a part-time role of approximately 24 hours per week, covering out-of-hours weekends and bank holidays. We are open to either a single 24-hour shift or two 12-hour shifts (day or night), depending on service needs and candidate preference where possible. The role involves fixed weekend and bank holiday cover. Additional commitment: 08:30 AM – 09:30 AM on Monday, and/or 1 hour during weekday daytime for 1:1s, handovers, and supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for all out-of-hours calls and incidents
- Assess risk and triage situations appropriately
- Support and guide care staff in real time
- Manage safeguarding concerns and operational escalations
- Coordinate emergency staffing cover when required
- Maintain accurate records on internal systems
- Ensure clear and structured handovers between shifts
- Escalate high-risk issues in line with policy
About You:
- Experience in care, support work, coordination, or similar environments
- CAMHS experience is desirable but not essential
- We are looking for calm, confident professionals who can think clearly under pressure and make effective decisions in real time.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and escalation skills
- Excellent communication and decision-making ability
- The ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Competence using digital systems
