Job Overview: We are looking for a Bus Service Engineer/Technician to keep our modern, low‑emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. You will maintain and service buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
- Report defects and complete all work safely in line with policies
- Collaborate with workshop colleagues and support junior team members
Qualifications:
- Qualified engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Previous hands‑on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment (open to other backgrounds)
- Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
- Proactive, safety‑first approach
- Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
