Salary: £48,000 per year — Based at our Oxford depot, located at Horspath Rd & Network Oxford. Pay rate of £48,000 PA. Shift pattern of 5 over 7 on lates.
We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling) to join our team at Oxford depot. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure our fleet is clean, fuelled, and positioned safely, supporting the smooth running of a modern depot environment as our fleet and facilities continue to evolve.
Responsibilities- Leading a small team of Fuellers/Shunters/Cleaners
- Supporting the team by stepping in to clean, refuel, and reposition vehicles when needed
- Organising daily task allocation and ensuring job sheets and reports are completed accurately
- Planning weekly shift cover, monitoring performance, and supporting improvements
- Ensuring all work meets health and safety requirements and depot standards
- Liaising with management to ensure a smooth and efficient depot operation
- A strong team player who’s also confident taking the lead
- A hands‑on attitude and willingness to support the team on the ground
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- A valid UK driving licence (we’ll provide training to move vehicles within the depot)
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends
- Full training provided, including health & safety, equipment use and cleaning standards
