Salary £22.71 per hour. Based at our Banbury depot, located at Banbury. Pay rate £22.71 per hour. Shift pattern 5 over 7.

Looking for a hands-on mechanical role where your skills keep the community moving? We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Bus/PSV Mechanic to join our friendly team at Stagecoach West. Whether you’re from a truck, HGV, automotive, plant or rail background, this is your opportunity to work on a modern and varied fleet, including hybrid and electric vehicles, supported by ongoing training as technology and vehicle systems continue to evolve.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
  • Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Carrying out routine inspections, servicing and occasional roadside repairs
  • Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
  • A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
