About the Position

We are looking for an Apprentice Multi‑skilled Technician to join our Engineering Team at the site in Scarborough on the Eastfield Industrial Estate, while studying at York College.

What You Will Do

  • Work alongside experienced technicians to maintain technologically advanced machinery, respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Build additional skills in automation, coding, programming logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical drives.
  • Learn to work with other systems in our production process, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Attend college to gain the qualifications and skills needed to grow into a multiskilled technician at UPM Adhesive Materials.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C or 9-5) including English, Maths and science.
  • Ambitious and ready for an opportunity to grow and develop within a global company.
  • Motivated to learn.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Able to manage time and responsibilities.

Working Schedule

36 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:15pm, Friday 8am – 1:30pm.
