350.org is looking for a Data & Analytics Manager to lead the organization-wide data strategy, managing 350’s data reporting tools and CRM - from data modelling and governance to dashboarding and self-serve reporting. Supporting the creation of organizational KPIs and measurement frameworks, maintaining data quality, privacy, and security, and delivering clear, actionable reporting that drives decisions.

About 350.org: 350’s mission is to keep carbon in our atmosphere to a safe level, below 350 parts per million. We do this by mobilizing ordinary people to campaign for universal access to clean energy and an end to fossil fuels. Our campaigns are rooted in local organizing, achieving measurable reductions in fossil fuel emissions while building the power and potential of the climate movement.

The Data & Analytics Manager leads the organization-wide data strategy, managing 350’s data reporting tools and CRM. The role will champion an organization-wide data culture, building shared understanding of the value of data, embedding good practice, and fostering confident use across teams. Working closely with staff at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team, they will enable evidence-based planning and review, align data priorities to strategic goals, and ensure clear data governance and accountability. They will coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain a reliable, scalable data and analytics infrastructure that supports teams to be data-driven.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads 350’s data strategy and governance, supporting the creation of organization-level KPIs and measurement frameworks.
  • Drives an organization-wide data culture, embedding good practice, and working with staff at all levels.
  • Owns and develops 350's BigQuery data warehouse: designs and maintains data models, optimizes query performance, manages access controls.
  • Leads BI and reporting work: builds and maintains Metabase dashboards, manages ELT pipelines and data transformations.
  • Owns the strategic roadmap and technical architecture of Salesforce, defining data governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Develops dashboards tailored to support data-driven decision-making for staff at all levels.
  • Supports the Organisational Processes Team in maintaining accessible, up-to-date information on performance trends.
  • Designs and oversees tagging and tracking protocols for detailed segmentation.
  • Co-leads data privacy, security, and compliance for supporter data (GDPR and other relevant regulations).
  • Develops and implements data hygiene protocols, initiating and supervising data clean-up projects.
  • Manages external vendors, from scoping to delivery oversight and ongoing performance management.
  • Line manages the Senior Data Specialist and Senior CRM Specialists.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience leading organization-wide data strategy.
  • Exceptional communication and culture-building skills.
  • At least 6 years’ hands-on implementation experience (Data warehouse/ELT, reporting/BI, CRM).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery.
  • Experience in managing data visualization platforms such as Metabase.
  • Experience in managing Salesforce or similar CRM system.
  • Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience writing and optimizing queries.
  • Strong experience managing complex projects related to data integration.
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and data privacy best practices.
  • Excellent team leadership skills and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ActionKit, ActionNetwork, Control Shift Labs.
  • Experience with digital fundraising platforms.
  • Experience migrating organizations between technical platforms.
  • Change management experience.
  • Experience with distributed, online campaigning organizations.

Work Environment: This role is home-based, although participation in external meetings and events is expected. Ability to maintain a healthy work/life balance in fast-paced environments.

Position Type: full-time (36 hours per week)
