We’re looking for a Trainee Bus Driver at Stagecoach Rugby Depot. You’ll earn £15.74 per hour during 6–8 weeks of training, with enhancements on weekends and after 21:00. After you complete training and gain your PCV licence, you’ll earn an annual salary of about £35,000 based on 39 hours per week. You’ll work a 5‑out‑of‑7 shift pattern across early mornings, evenings and weekends, driving a fleet of 42 buses covering Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities

  • Complete industry‑leading training and secure a PCV licence under the Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.
  • Drive the Stagecoach fleet safely, smoothly and confidently.
  • Ensure every customer has a great journey, delivering top‑notch customer service to all ages and backgrounds.
  • Create a welcoming environment, helping those who rely on us most feel respected and cared for.
  • Participate in ongoing CPC training and professional development.
  • Work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Age 18 or older, holding a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Right to work in the UK and have ordinarily resided in the UK or Islands/British overseas territories for the last 3 years (alternative criteria may be discussed).
  • Positive, friendly attitude and passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • A willingness to learn and be part of a team.
  • A patient, safe and courteous approach.
