Salary: £49,334 Basic.
Shift pattern: Early and Late shifts plus 2 Saturdays out of 4 (5 days out of 7).
Location: Stagecoach Kettering Depot, 10 Northampton Rd, Kettering, NN15 7JU.
Responsibilities
- Carry out complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on PCV vehicles.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform all levels of repair up to and including engine overhauls.
- Support and mentor engineering apprentices.
- Assist with vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road.
- Maintain high safety, quality, and compliance standards across the fleet.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 BTEC/NVQ (or equivalent) in HGV/PCV maintenance.
- Dual skilled mechanical/electrical experience with specialist training, especially in advanced diagnostics and repairs.
- Demonstrable previous engineering experience with a vehicular focus (e.g., bus, HGV/LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm).
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Proactive, safety‑first mindset with attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
