Salary and Training
Typical annualised earnings of £32,647 with a pay rate of £15.00 per hour during a 6–8 week training period. Following completion of training, you will earn an annual salary of £32,647 based on 39 hours per week as a qualified Bus Driver. Shift patterns are 5 out of 7 or 4 out of 7 days.
Overview
Stagecoach is looking for friendly, safety‑conscious people to join our team at the Cheltenham depot. No experience driving a bus is required – we’ll pay you to train and offer fully paid training to help you gain your PCV licence and a Level2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship Qualification.

Responsibilities
- Complete industry‑leading training and secure your PCV licence, followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development as part of the Level2 Apprenticeship.
- Operate the fleet of 69 buses across Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury & Stroud safely and confidently.
- Ensure every customer has a great journey by delivering top‑notch customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Assist customers of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who rely on us most.
- Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Minimum 18years old.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than6 penalty points.
- Right to work in the UK, ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands or British overseas territories for the last3years (alternative criteria can be discussed).
- Positive, friendly attitude and passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Willingness to learn, be patient, safe and courteous, and act as the face of Stagecoach.
