About You: This role within our Finance Department will support our group of businesses across the UK. This role will report directly to the Interim FP&A Lead and will work collaboratively with the wider Finance team and senior stakeholders within the wider 3173 Group. As with all our group supporting roles, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and ongoing deliverables. It is an exciting time to join our group of businesses as we are developing and expanding in a number of strategic areas. This role will play a key role in delivering against our growth strategy for the 3173 Group while managing risk and adding commercial insight. You will be a qualified accountant or recently qualified finance professional with post-qualification experience gained within a commercial finance environment. You will support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business performance analysis while developing financial models and business insights. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and experience with Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI would be advantageous.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting with the preparation of the budget and longer term strategic financial plans across the 3173 Group of businesses, including gathering source data, development of financial models and presentation of budgets to senior leadership and investors.
- Assisting in the preparation and development of FP&A rolling profit and cashflow forecasts across the Group.
- Assisting in the preparation of business cases, contract tendering, and pricing adjustments.
- Leading the preparation of the financial investment appraisal of significant strategic investments across the Group.
- Supporting the wider Finance Team with variance analysis and routine financial reporting.
- Supporting financial performance monitoring, contract profitability and staff utilisation metrics.
- Collaborating with the wider Finance team to continually develop financial reporting systems.
- Supporting the business with ad hoc analysis.
Minimum (Essential) Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with post qualification experience.
- Familiarity with Sage, Oracle, SAP or similar accounting systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to prioritise workloads with high attention to detail.
Location: Belfast
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with additional hours as and when required. All roles are subject to a six-month probationary period and all prospective employees are required to complete an Access NI check.
