Responsibilities
- Hardware validation and board bring‑up activities, collaborating with the hardware and firmware team, to prove new designs.
- Developing and maintaining board support packages that underpin the software powering Everfox’s hardsec solutions.
- Contributing to the scoping and design of new software through planning and task estimation.
- Perform end‑to‑end integration and testing of software, firmware and hardware.
- Integrate embedded software with hardware and firmware to deliver prototypes of new features and products.
- Develop automated tests for Everfox hardware, based on Python.
- Design and perform manual tests on Everfox hardware considering functional and performance angles.
- Maintain 3rd‑party open‑source projects such as the Linux kernel, Yocto, and AOSP.
- Conduct security reviews and patching; upstream bug‑fixes to the community.
- Port latest upstream versions to Everfox BSPs.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Refactor code and adopt new technologies through code reviews and automated build/test pipelines.
- Drive automation via continuous integration practices and tools.
- Adhere to Everfox’s information‑security policies.
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
A passion for technology and a keen interest in developing embedded software for commercial solutions.
Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Some knowledge of multiple programming languages (e. g. C, C++, Python).
Core computer‑science concepts such as concurrency, networking, performance measurement and algorithms.
Practical exposure to development boards (e. g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino) and/or embedded systems (Io T devices).
Prior knowledge of Linux OS.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: £38,000–£52,000 GBP (may vary by experience, location and business needs).
In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, 401(k) match, and contributions to healthcare coverages.
