Role Summary

The Assistant Compensation and Benefits Advisor provides operational, analytical and project support in the delivery, communication, implementation, and governance of the Company's global compensation and benefits programmes.

The role supports the Compensation and Benefits Advisor in the execution of compensation and benefits activities, contributing to market analysis, reporting, benefits administration, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and local legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Compensation and Benefits Advisor in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programmes aligned with business objectives and company strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation of compensation analyses, benchmarking exercises, and market data reviews to support salary structures, reward initiatives, and benefit programme design.
  • Coordinate participation in annual remuneration surveys by collating, validating, and preparing data submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the analysis of external market data and benchmark against internal compensation structures, preparing reports and observations to support decision-making.
  • Prepare annual onshore banding information and supporting analysis for review and approval in accordance with the Company's approval matrix.
  • Maintain onshore bandings, grade structures, and associated compensation data within the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct job evaluations for new and revised roles using the Company's Job Evaluation methodology and prepare supporting documentation for review and approval.
  • Collate and report offer determination data and prepare reporting on global and regional compensation trends for review by HR leadership.
  • Administer global employee benefits programmes, including medical insurance, ensuring the timely processing of new hires, leavers, transfers, and employee changes.
  • Ensure benefits activities are administered in accordance with company policies, procedures, governance requirements, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits data within the HRIS and reconcile employee census information provided to benefit vendors to ensure data accuracy, appropriate employee coverage, and alignment between Company and vendor records.
  • Support country-specific benefits activities, including medical insurance amendments, End of Service Benefits (EOSB) accruals, and other locally administered benefits.
  • Coordinate benefit renewal activities by preparing employee census data, cost summaries, and supporting documentation for review by the Compensation and Benefits Advisor and Manager.
  • Support the administration of income protection, life assurance, and other employee benefit claims, coordinating with employees, regional HR teams, brokers, and providers as required.
  • Verify medical and benefits invoices, investigate discrepancies, reconcile monthly charges, and ensure timely processing and payment.
  • Act as a point of contact for regional HR teams and employees regarding compensation and benefits enquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and programme administration.
  • Liaise with regional HR representatives, insurance brokers, providers, and external vendors to facilitate the efficient administration of compensation and benefits programmes.
  • Support the review of international assignment benefits by analysing external market data, benchmarking assignment-related allowances and benefits, and preparing recommendations to ensure Company provisions remain competitive.
  • Support the implementation of benefits in new countries by coordinating with providers and brokers, completing vendor onboarding documentation, assisting with supplier setup within Company finance systems, and supporting the purchase order process to ensure the timely delivery of benefits.
  • Support the administration and coordination of global employee wellbeing and recognition programmes, including the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), service awards, and other reward and recognition initiatives, Support the preparation of compensation and benefits communications, employee guidance materials, presentations, and reporting packs.
  • Maintain and update employee benefits information on the company intranet, ensuring accurate communication of country-specific benefits and benefit offerings.
  • Maintain personnel manning costing templates and provide analytical support to regional HR teams in preparing tender costings and workforce planning activities.
  • Assist with compensation and benefits projects, policy reviews, process improvements, systems enhancements, and data quality initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties, support ad hoc projects, and undertake responsibilities as directed by the Senior Compensation and Benefits Manager and Compensation and Benefits Advisor.
  • Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and undertake training as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification at Secondary Level/High School Education preferred.
  • Professional qualification or working towards a qualification in Human Resources, Reward, Compensation and Benefits, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience working within Compensation and Benefits, Reward, or Human Resources.
  • Understanding of compensation and benefits principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing benefits in HRIS, preferably Workday.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong organisational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver work within agreed timescales.
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working in a complex, challenging environment.
