Team & Role
As part of the Software & Platforms Industry & Enterprise team, you will work with software and SaaS businesses from high‑growth scale‑ups to established global vendors. Your work will help clients navigate strategic and operational challenges such as AI‑native competition, shifting commercial models, hyperscaler dynamics and evolving B2B buyer expectations. As a Manager, you will lead diverse, high‑performing teams to deliver strategies that unlock growth, improve performance and enable transformation at scale. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, support team development, and contribute to our go‑to‑market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex B2B transformation programmes for software and SaaS clients, managing workstreams across GTM strategy, commercial and business model transformation, lead‑to‑cash process redesign, and operational change.
- Define and structure solutions in ambiguous environments, using rigorous analysis, process design and evidence‑based recommendations.
- Build and own the commercial narrative, developing business cases, value models and investment cases for C‑level scrutiny.
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders to co‑create strategy, align priorities and drive change programmes.
- Translate industry insights into practical advantages, guiding clients on AI, pricing and competitive dynamics.
- Drive business development activity, shape proposals, contribute to go‑to‑market initiatives and build client relationships.
- Lead and develop your team, setting direction, coaching and fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
- Contribute to the growth of the Practice through thought leadership, asset development and internal capability building.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with deep expertise in the Software and SaaS industry, either through a senior consulting firm focused on these clients or through direct experience in strategy, transformation or commercial roles within software companies. Candidates should have:
- B2B Transformation & Delivery Leadership Proven experience leading complex programmes across the B2B customer lifecycle with measurable revenue growth, cost reduction or efficiency improvement. Experience designing future‑state processes, customer journeys and transformation roadmaps. Evidence of deploying end‑to‑end product strategies that improve onboarding, adoption, retention and growth. Skilled in value‑led delivery: building business cases, tracking outcomes and managing risk.
- Data‑driven Problem Solving Strong analytical mindset, synthesising disparate data into actionable insight. Experience constructing board‑ready business cases linking operational data to commercial outcomes. Data‑driven approaches to product development, lead generation, monetisation and channel strategy.
- GTM, Commercial Model & Ecosystem Design Deep understanding of B2B GTM strategy within software or SaaS, including distinct motions for SMB, mid‑market, enterprise and partner/channel. Perspective on evolving pricing and commercial models and their implications for GTM design. Experience supporting or leading commercial and business model transformation. Understanding of hyperscaler and cloud marketplace dynamics and partner ecosystem reinvention.
- Industry Knowledge & AI Fluency Point of view on forces reshaping the software industry, such as AI‑native competition and hyperscaler dynamics. Ability to translate macro trends into concrete strategic and commercial implications.
- Client Engagement & Influence Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and deliver transformation across waterfall and agile environments.
- Leadership and Growth Experience managing and developing teams, coaching talent. Entrepreneurial mindset, owning outcomes and driving momentum. Commercial instinct, with experience in business development and shaping client growth conversations.
Desired Capabilities
Career at a top‑tier consulting firm focused on Software & Platforms clients, or senior strategy/commercial/transformation roles within a software or SaaS business. Specific, evidenced experience in B2B Software or SaaS transformation (lead‑to‑cash redesign, GTM strategy, commercial and business model evolution, revenue operations) with clear outcomes. Experience with SMB‑focused software businesses and understanding of SMB buying behaviour. Hands‑on product strategy experience improving adoption, retention and product investment returns. Credible perspective on agentic AI reshaping software delivery and commercial expectations. Understanding of partner and developer ecosystem reinvention. Relevant certifications (e.g., Agile, Cloud, Architecture, Data) or demonstrable experience with modern delivery practices in complex transformation environments.
