  • Temp to Perm contract. Perm after 3 months (£50,000 - £58,000 + Overtime Available)
  • Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced Building Fabric Manager, Estates Manager or Technical Services Manager with a strong background in building maintenance, passive fire protection and refurbishment works?

We are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager (Building Fabric) to join a large and complex healthcare estate in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a multi-skilled fabric maintenance team across one of the UK's largest healthcare environments, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of building fabric services.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Estates Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of all building fabric maintenance activities across the estate, including planned maintenance, reactive works, compliance inspections, refurbishment projects and contractor management.

You will lead a team of supervisors, tradespeople and specialist contractors whilst ensuring contractual KPIs, healthcare standards and statutory compliance requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing building fabric maintenance teams across the estate
  • Overseeing fire door inspections, repairs and compliance programmes
  • Managing passive fire protection works and associated contractors
  • Delivering building fabric maintenance, refurbishment and civil works projects
  • Managing specialist contractors and subcontractors
  • Monitoring compliance, KPIs and service performance
  • Conducting audits, inspections and quality assurance checks
  • Managing team performance, appraisals, training and development
  • Supporting health and safety compliance, CDM and statutory requirements
  • Working closely with NHS stakeholders and operational teams

What We're Looking For
