We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a major capital projects team delivering a programme of works within a large acute hospital in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a live healthcare environment, managing electrical projects from inception through to completion while ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality expectations.
The Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple electrical projects across the hospital estate. You will be responsible for coordinating design, procurement, delivery and commissioning activities whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and ensuring minimal disruption to critical hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical projects from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
- Manage project programmes, budgets, risk registers and reporting requirements
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, permits, RAMS and statutory requirements
- Manage project financial performance and commercial outcomes
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes aligned to client requirements
- Monitor contractor performance, quality standards and project delivery
- Provide regular progress updates, cashflow forecasts and management reports
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering electrical or M&E projects within healthcare, critical environments, public sector or large complex estates
- Electrical qualification such as HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent within Building Services or Electrical Engineering
- Strong project management experience delivering projects from conception to completion
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially aware with experience managing project budgets and financial reporting
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation
- Ability to work independently within a live operational environment
Contract Details
- £450 - £500 per day CIS
- Immediate start available
- Minimum 6-month contract
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Site-based role in Manchester
