The Opportunity
300 North are recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management organisation for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional with PFI and Facilities Management experience to support a diverse portfolio of complex contracts. Working closely with operational, finance and project teams, you will lead commercial activities, manage contractual risk, oversee change control and help maximise contract performance across long-term PFI and commercial FM contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial support across a portfolio of Facilities Management and PFI contracts
- Manage commercial reporting, governance and contract performance
- Provide contractual and commercial advice to operational teams
- Manage commercial variations and change control
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies
- Support payment applications, invoicing and financial reporting
- Work closely with procurement and project teams to optimise commercial performance
- Maintain commercial risk and opportunity registers
- Support contract compliance reviews and commercial audits
- Attend client and operational meetings as the commercial representative
- Drive commercial improvements across the business through best practice and process development
- Support contract teams with defects, deductions, payment mechanisms and contractual obligations
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within Facilities Management
- Essential experience working on PFI contracts
- Strong Facilities Management, Building Services or Maintenance background
- Excellent commercial contract management experience
- Experience managing commercial reporting, contract variations and change control
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and/or Crown Commercial Service Frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial and analytical skills
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
