Job Description: 300 North are recruiting for an experienced Compartmentation Surveyor to work on a 4-week freelance assignment in the East Midlands. The successful candidate will carry out detailed compartmentation surveys on occupied buildings, identifying fire safety defects and documenting fire stopping installation and remedial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting intrusive and visual compartmentation surveys
  • Identifying breaches and non-compliant fire stopping
  • Producing clear survey reports and tagging defective areas
  • Liaising with the project and compliance teams
  • Ensuring all work aligns with current fire safety legislation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in compartmentation surveys and passive fire surveying
  • DBS (required)
  • Relevant qualification such as FSI (Fire Stopping Inspection) or equivalent
  • Strong references from similar surveying projects ideally working for passive fire protection clients carrying out large scale compartmentation and fire stopping surveys
  • Good understanding of passive fire protection standards, legislation, installation and remedial methods and compliance standards
