Contract Manager - Soft Facilities Management
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 plus electric company car
Location: Brighton, with regular travel to Crawley, Chichester and Horsham
Permanent | Monday-Friday, 7.30am-3.30pm
An established facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a multi-site portfolio delivering cleaning, grounds maintenance and bulk waste collection services.
You will lead frontline teams, build strong client relationships and ensure services meet agreed standards, performance targets and budgets.
Key responsibilities
- Manage dispersed teams, including recruitment, training, rotas and performance.
- Oversee cleaning, grounds maintenance and bulk waste collection operations.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, estate walkabouts and risk assessments.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure safe, compliant working practices.
- Monitor budgets and financial performance.
- Build relationships with clients, residents and housing officers.
- Resolve service issues and drive continuous improvement.
About you
- Proven experience managing multi-site soft FM services, particularly cleaning and grounds maintenance.
- Experience overseeing contracts valued at £1 million or more.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing frontline teams.
- Sound budget management skills and exposure to full profit and loss accountability.
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- IOSH Managing Safely, or an equivalent qualification, would be advantageous.
