Job Description

Construction Design Manager – Healthcare & PFI Projects\\n\\nLocation: Manchester\\n\\nSalary: £350 per day CIS or £260 per day PAYE  \\n\\nContract: 6 months \\n\\nMon – Fri 8am – 4.30pm \\n\\nWe are looking for an experienced Construction Design Manager to oversee healthcare and PFI lifecycle projects valued between £500k and £10m. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage the design process from tender through to delivery in live healthcare environments.\\n\\nYou'll work closely with NHS Trusts, consultants, and PFI/SPV providers to ensure projects are compliant, buildable, and aligned with HTM and HBN standards. Responsibilities include coordinating consultants and subcontractors, reviewing drawings, managing design risks, and chairing design meetings.\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\nProven experience in healthcare construction projects (including\\n\\nPFI lifecycle works\\n\\n).\\n\\nRiba 0 – 7 projects.\\n\\nStrong knowledge of NHS technical standards (HTM/HBN).\\n\\nSMSTS certification and First Aid at Work (essential).\\n\\nBackground with a main contractor or specialist healthcare contractor.\\n\\nProficiency with BIM/digital tools and MS Project.\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, delivering projects that directly improve healthcare estates.\\n\\nPlease apply to Joe Firth @300North – or (phone number removed)
