3 Solutions is a growing and dynamic repairs and maintenance company working across Wiltshire, Somerset, Bath & Bristol. We have an exciting opportunity for a Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our existing team. Our offices are based in Shepton Mallet but this job role involves driving to and within these locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in gas installation, will be required to complete diagnostics, repair work, renewals and installations for heating systems primarily in domestic households, as well as servicing and maintenance. We are looking for an experienced engineer, ideally with previous experience in the re-active maintenance field with a can do attitude. The ability to problem solve and work as part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential properties.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in gas systems, providing effective solutions to rectify issues.
  • Working within occupied properties for a variety of clients.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
  • Assemble components of gas systems according to specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections and repairs completed on a PDA.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 plumbing studies and completion of the gas qualification.
  • Oil and LPG qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work from a PDA (personal digital assistant).
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in gas engineering or related fields.
  • UK driving license is a necessity as our offices are based in Shepton Mallet but the candidate will be working in and around Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath & Bristol.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The salary will be adjusted dependant on qualifications. In return we offer; a competitive salary, company uniform, company vehicle, pension scheme and 22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. Our working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm and to cover out of hours call outs on a rata basis which is approximately 1 in every 16 weeks.
