In a nutshell… Our client is a global leader in the maintenance, service & repair to a wide range of engines and components within the Marine Industry. With a global footprint in over a dozen countries from the EU to an International stage they are now looking to expand their team with an additional Engineer to join an exciting company offering a wide range of global travel.
Working within an established team you will play a pivotal role in covering the Southern Coast area and overseas carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work on industrial marine equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in large marine vessels such as cargo ships, ferries, cruise ships, oil tankers and cruise ships.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair on engines and turbo equipment
- Carry out refurbishments and repair to a wide range of industry specific motors of all sizes
- Attend client sites which involves EU & International travel
- Deal with all mechanical and electrical work
Qualifications
- 3 years minimum experience within a marine engineering environment
- Working with MAN, VOLVO, ABB or Cummins turbos is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical information and be a problem solver reducing downtime
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels
- Good written and verbal communication skills
