We’re looking for a dynamic leader who can seamlessly bridge technical expertise with strategic vision, driving the technical direction of the agency across web and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities Lead Technical Strategy : Drive the agency’s technical direction, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and client needs. Architect Robust Solutions : Oversee the design and implementation of scalable solutions across web and mobile platforms, collaborating with project teams for informed decisions. Mentor & Develop Teams : Guide and support technical team leads across various domains, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Engage in Commercial Endeavours : Collaborate with commercial teams to drive our technical response during proposals and pitches, effectively communicating complex concepts to clients. Ensure Technical Governance : Establish and uphold coding standards and best practices across projects, promoting security, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Optimise Processes : Continuously assess and refine internal tools and workflows, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity. Oversee Security & Compliance : Work with our Platform team to ensure AWS infrastructure is secure and cost-effective, maintaining relevant certifications such as ISO & Cyber Essentials. Skills & Qualifications What we’re looking for: Agency Experience: Industry experience within digital agencies is essential, showcasing a proven track record of successfully leading technical teams in fast-paced, client-driven environments. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Technical Leadership: Extensive experience in solutions architecture and technical leadership roles, with knowledge of software development across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, frontend frameworks, PHP, Node.js, and AWS. Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Proficient in AWS, focusing on performance optimisation, cost control, and security measures to ensure efficient cloud operations. Team Management: Proven abilities in managing and mentoring diverse technical teams across various domains, cultivating a high-performing engineering culture that values collaboration and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across technical, creative, commercial and operational teams, aligning efforts to achieve shared goals. Technical Governance: Experience in establishing and maintaining technical governance, enforcing coding standards, and best practices to deliver high-quality project outcomes. Strategic Thinking: Leadership focused on aligning technical solutions with long-term business objectives, contributing to the overall technical strategy and supporting commercial goals. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language for a range of audiences. Stakeholder Engagement: Experience liaising with senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders, demonstrating emotional intelligence to foster positive relationships and manage conflicts effectively. Process Improvement: Proactive in reviewing and optimising internal tools and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity within the development cycle. Security Compliance: Deep understanding of AWS security measures and compliance with industry standards and certifications, including ISO and Cyber Essentials, to ensure data protection and client trust.
