We’re looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy, close-knit Finance Team at our Walsall Head Office. This is a full-time, office based role and you will be working within a small but very supportive and social finance team. To be a good fit, you will have 2-3 years’ experience in a law-firm and be confident working within the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Duties Will Include:
- Handling client payments and ensuring accurate receipting
- Monitoring incoming funds and allocating them correctly to client accounts
- Managing daily banking tasks and maintaining accurate financial records
- Posting financial transactions across ledgers
- Producing routine finance reports for internal teams
- Preparing and processing electronic payments
- Managing cheque requests and supporting wider finance administration
- Creating clear breakdowns of time, costs and ledger information for client use
- Checking financial documentation, processing invoices and supporting payment runs
- Providing cover for colleagues during absence to maintain smooth workflow
