3 Point Recruitment are partnering with an award winning and ambitious Coventry based SME to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant - a key hire needed ASAP!
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, personable & confident finance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll gain hands on exposure across the full month end cycle, work closely with an experienced Financial Controller and play a vital role in shaping the finance function as this ambitious SME continues to grow.
Duties Will Include
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including key journals and reconciliations
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations across accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, stock and bank
- Assist with P&L reviews, variance analysis and monthly KPI reporting
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy across all postings
- Oversee AP/AR activity and resolve queries to support smooth financial operations
- Manage banking and cashflow tasks, including daily reconciliations and cash reporting
- Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation
- Support stock accounting, reconciliations and adjustments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with wider compliance requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and multi-company reporting
- Contribute to year-end audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
