Location: Limavady

Salary: £55k+ (Negotiable DOE) & attractive benefits package

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm | Friday 12:00pm (flexible)

Play a key role in delivering mission-critical data centre projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a background in electrical, mechanical or building services who enjoys seeing projects through to completion.

Working on large-scale data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects, you'll take ownership of commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested, validated and handed over to the highest standards.

The Opportunity:

  • Lead commissioning activities from planning through to final handover, ensuring electrical and mechanical systems are installed, tested and commissioned safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations.
  • Work closely with project teams, contractors and clients to deliver high-quality projects on time and to specification.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and coordinating commissioning activities across major projects.
  • Carrying out and witnessing FATs, SATs and integrated systems testing.
  • Commissioning electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and PDUs.
  • Testing mechanical systems including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps and cooling systems.
  • Supporting commissioning of BMS, EPMS and fire detection systems.
  • Identifying and resolving commissioning issues while maintaining quality standards.
  • Producing commissioning reports and technical documentation.
  • Supporting client training, handover and project closeout.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within commissioning, MEP, construction, facilities or building services.
  • Previous involvement in data centre, industrial or other mission-critical projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical building systems.
  • Ability to manage commissioning programmes and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a time-served electrician.

Desirable:

  • CIBSE or ASHRAE commissioning qualifications.
  • Uptime Institute ATS accreditation.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, 18th Edition or City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
