About the Company: Our client is a well-established and growing organisation operating within the industrial and supply sector, supporting a diverse customer base across areas such as food production, manufacturing, engineering, and retail. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a part-time HR Advisor to support their team and contribute to a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This is a newly created role.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees on day-to-day people matters, including absence management, performance, discipline, and grievance.
- Manage an employee relations caseload, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Support and coach line managers to build capability in people management, including performance reviews and development planning.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Provide HR administrative and payroll support, including processing employee lifecycle changes.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and data protection requirements.
- Produce HR reports and analyse people data (e.g. absence, turnover, retention) to identify trends and improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
About You:
- At least 2 years experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
- Experience managing employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance).
- Strong working knowledge of UK/NI employment law and HR best practice.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
- Well organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Experience using HR systems and payroll processes (ERP system experience beneficial).
- Proactive and people-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.
