We're partnering with a leading environmental engineering company to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative water treatment and power distribution projects, joining a business that continues to invest in its people, technology and future growth.
If you have a background in electrical estimating, particularly within switchgear, modular electrical rooms, PODs or skids, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and technical quotations for modular electrical solutions, working closely with engineering, procurement and project teams to deliver competitive, high-quality tenders.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing cost estimates and technical quotations from specifications and drawings.
- Producing detailed cost breakdowns for labour, materials and subcontractors.
- Collaborating with engineering, procurement and project teams.
- Reviewing scope changes and assessing cost implications.
- Supporting bid reviews and ensuring competitive pricing.
- Monitoring industry trends and maintaining estimating best practice.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years' electrical estimating experience, ideally within switchgear or modular solutions.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and technical drawings.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Excel and estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
