We're delighted to be partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Ballymena on the search for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their senior leadership team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, you'll be involved in the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, cost and delivery targets are consistently achieved while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability and continuous improvement.

The Role

As Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead production operations, inspire and develop your teams, and drive operational performance across the site. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Supply Chain, you'll ensure customer expectations are consistently met while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and overall manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop production teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Drive performance against key KPIs, including safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and delivery.
  • Promote and champion a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Manage labour resources and production planning to meet customer demand.
  • Identify and implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and manufacturing best practice.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience of 2+ years in a manufacturing or production leadership role within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a proven background in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and a data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing Lean Manufacturing tools and driving operational efficiency.
  • An effective people manager with a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Process-driven with experience of Management and QSE systems.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness with experience of budget management.
