Overview
3 Hare Court is an established and highly successful barristers’ Chambers, providing a range of advocacy and advisory services in the UK and internationally. Our barristers are supported by experienced and responsive Practice Managers and a marketing and business development team.
We are now recruiting for a Marketing and Business Development Assistant to work 4 days a week. This is a new role, in which the successful applicant will work closely with the soon to be appointed Head of Marketing and Business Development and offering the opportunity to learn and develop in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an excellent understanding of Chambers’ markets and work channels.
- Create engaging social media content, e alerts and event communications. Be an ambassador for best practice use of social media across Chambers, including by providing ad hoc support to members and staff where needed.
- Assist with and support the generation of web content. This will include proof reading and checking content before it is uploaded and ensuring that static content is regularly updated.
- Design and produce brand – compliant documents to support business development activities, including credentials documents and presentations.
- Run webinars and support the lifecycle of in-person events, from small ‘round table’ practice-specific events to major flagship Chambers-wide events.
- Play an active role in the legal directory process and industry awards submissions.
- Carry out research projects, generate reports and collate data to measure and track the success of campaigns and initiatives.
- Maintain and develop marketing lists and ensure that these are GDPR compliant.
Candidate profile
- Education to degree level or equivalent.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (short-listed candidates will be asked to do a written test and make a short presentation).
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude.
- Enthusiasm for managing projects and associated administrative tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- (Ideally) some experience of running events.
Previous experience
At least one year’s experience of working in a marketing, events or communications role in a professional services firm (barristers’ chambers, law firm, tax/accountancy firm), other professional organisation or membership body.
Salary
Competitive salary based on experience.
