The overall goal of the CXO Senior Consultant position is to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy while driving business growth and innovation. Leveraging 3-GIS products, projects and services, the CXO Senior Consultant will work closely with the 3-GIS Sales teams to drive new growth initiatives geared towards solving evolving customer needs. This role also requires building strategic relationships with clients while supporting the organization’s expansion of products and service offerings to increase revenue and market presence.

The CXO Senior Consultant is responsible for Senior-level, high-quality advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients within the utility and telecom industries. They serve as liaison with clients and work closely with 3-GIS personnel at all levels - frequently interacting with product managers, solution architects, systems implementation and project engineers, as well as Sales/Account Executives across the company to accomplish business development and project related outcomes. The CXO Senior Consultant also supports various key projects from initiation through delivery and creates business relationships with high-level contacts often through face-to-face client site visits.

The CXO Senior Consultant acts as an independent consultant separate from the delivery project teams at the Senior level to ensure the customer experience is rooted in purpose, technology, and data that drives long‑term success and delivers enhanced value and sustainable growth for 3‑GIS.

Essential Functions
  • Client Engagement: Nurture, create, and provide timely responses to prospective clients and assist clients in scoping their projects/opportunities. Collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs and challenges and develop appropriate technical, data, process, and organizational solutions for addressing those challenges. Help educate our prospective clients on the state of the GIS industry and related challenges and opportunities, and work to educate them on industry advancements. Function as a Trusted Advisor and strategic partner by providing advice and guidance based on 3‑GIS’s knowledge base and experience. In conjunction with sales and delivery, manage client relations, expectations, and create positive 3‑GIS references.
  • Business Development: Work closely with 3‑GIS Sales team to increase sales, revenue and market presence. Provide support to the Sales team, as needed, for demos to educate our clients. Lead client business development efforts and support the closure of business opportunities. Assist the Account Executives/Sales team in gathering requirements for proposals and provide scoping and sales solutions coordination and pricing estimates for consulting and implementations opportunities in partnership with the Sales and CXO Customer Solutions Teams. Assist Marketing with developing marketing related material and strategies.
  • Project Team Leadership and Assistance: Serve as liaison between our client and our delivery team to ensure customer needs are met. Work as an internal “Advisor” to the Project Leadership team, raise and discuss major project issues, differences of perception of scope, deployment strategies, etc. Provide subject matter expertise on key aspects of delivery projects associated with workflows, organizational change, technology, and data to achieve client expected results. This may include leading/developing deliverables on projects. Guide and mentor project team members and provide guidance to project leadership and technical team members. Interact with product managers, solution architects, systems implementation and software engineers, and account executives and client personnel to deliver on desired client outcomes.
  • Other Responsibilities: Provide thought leadership at conference events and public speaking opportunities. Author and publish focused content articles, blogs, industry rags, and social media. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the overall success of the 3‑GIS.

  • Use a consultative approach to actively listen to client needs and guide solutions based on industry leading practices.
  • Deep familiarity with utility/telco technical solutions and systems integrations including GIS, Asset and Work Management/Mobile, and Operational Technology, and Telecommunication systems.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of utility/telco industry and business and operational processes.
  • Established professional network and demonstrated track record in business development and sales of product and implementation services in the utility/telco industry.
  • Strong Senior presence; excellent at connecting and maintaining outstanding relationships at C‑level of (utility) mainly telco companies.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop strategies to resolve them, including resolving conflicts that arise during interaction with internal and client project team members.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work on various client sales engagements as a subject matter specialist with an excellent track record and commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of 3‑GIS, CXO, business development and or client project needs.
  • Ability to work independently, be self‑motivated and work effectively in a team environment.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, GIS, Electrical Engineering, Business/Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent utility/telco and consulting experience).
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience with 8-10 of those years in consulting, system implementation, system integration, product and/or utility/telco IT, OT, and or GIS experience.
  • Established track record of customer satisfaction with Director and above level references.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and MS Project.
Expected Work Hours And Work Environment
  • Works full-time as a salaried position and expected to work 40 hours per week.
  • Travels 10 - 50% of the time, twice a month (2+ days/each).
  • Works in an indoor office/home office environment, temperature controlled.
  • Sits for extended periods, standing and walking intermittently.
  • Uses office equipment such as a computer, mouse, keyboard, printer.
  • This is a remote, work from home position.
