It starts with feeling safe enough to try, developing confidence and discovering that numbers can make sense. At 3 Dimensions School, were looking for a creative and compassionate Maths Teacher to join our Hummingbird Site on a maternity cover contract. Youll support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and trauma related needs, providing learning that is personalised around the individual rather than taking a one size fits all approach. Youll teach across KS3, KS4 and Post 16, combining functional Maths, Entry Level, GCSE where appropriate and practical numeracy for everyday life. With the freedom to adapt your teaching, you can focus on what each student needs to engage, progress and begin to see themselves as capable learners. What Youll Do Deliverengaging and differentiated Maths learning across KS3, KS4 and Post 16 Teach a combination offunctional Maths, Entry Level, GCSE where appropriate and practical everyday numeracy Adapt lessons around individual learning profiles, abilities andEHCP outcomes Use creative approaches including visual scaffolding, practical resources, chunking and overlearning to make Maths more accessible Usetrauma informed and low arousal approaches to help students regulate, engage and feel ready to learn Identify gaps in knowledge and create personalised strategies that help students make meaningful progress Build positive and trusting relationships that developconfidence, resilience and a willingness to try Track and assess progress while recognising that achievement can look different for every student Help students understand how Maths connects toindependence, everyday life and preparation for adulthood Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent and individualised support Who Were Looking For Were looking for someone who can see beyond a traditional Maths classroom and find different ways to help young people understand, engage and succeed.
