We value teamwork, high clinical standards, and continuity of care and we’re looking for a Veterinary Nurse who shares those values to join our friendly nursing team which currently consists of 3 full time RVN’s and one ACA.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Nurse with us, you’ll be hands-on in all areas of the practice, from inpatient care and surgical support to nurse clinics and client education. You’ll have the time to get to know our patients and clients, and your ideas will be valued in how we shape the care we provide
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care to hospitalised patients
- Patient preoperative admissions and discharges
- Planning and setting up for and prepping patients for operations
- The role includes participation in our currently 1 in 4 Saturday rota (8:30am-12:30pm)
- Assist vets in consultations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.
- Monitor anaesthetics, x-ray processing, processing laboratory samples for both internal and external testing
- Run nurse clinics (e.g. weight management, parasite prevention, post-op checks, nail clips, puppy and kitten guidance).
- Offer advice and support to owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, behaviour, and treatment plans.
- Handle and restrain animals safely, with compassion and care.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in clinical areas and assist with equipment sterilisation.
- Contribute to stock management and ordering.
- Administrative duties – insurance processing, keeping up to date and accurate clinical records
- Work collaboratively within a close-knit team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the welcoming, community-focused environment of the practice.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
- Experience in small animal practice desirable, but we welcome applications from enthusiastic newly qualified nurses too.
- Confident in anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient care, and routine nursing procedures.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to build strong relationships with clients and their pets.
- A team player with a proactive, positive attitude.

You will be joining a dedicated team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 4 Support Staff.
