At 3 Bridges Vets, we don’t think this is "just another vet job" — and we’re not looking for "just another vet." What our team recently said in an anonymous feedback survey: "The best job I have ever had." "You never feel like just a number." "Everyone works together — vets, nurses and reception — as one team." "Management actually listens... and things change." That’s the culture we’ve built. And we’re really proud of it.

The role: We’re looking for an Experienced Small Animal Vet to join our independent practice in Dunfermline. Due to our ever-expanding client base, we are looking for a new member of the team. You’ll see a genuinely varied caseload, with time to work cases up properly. We’re well-equipped and purpose-built 3.5 years ago:

  • Digital X-ray
  • In-house lab

And you’ll have:

  • Proper consult time – 20 minutes as standard
  • Dedicated surgery time – set op days
  • A strong, supportive nursing team

There is a contribution to OOH — but it’s structured, fair, and you get proper time off afterwards.

Who you’ll be working with: A team where:

  • No one pulls rank
  • Nurses, vets, and reception genuinely work together
  • People help each other without being asked
  • You can ask questions (or offer ideas) without hesitation
  • No egos. No politics. Just a good team.

Who this would suit: A vet with a few years’ experience who wants to feel settled and supported. Someone who enjoys both medicine and surgery. A vet who wants to keep improving (we’ll support certificates). This role isn’t suitable for new graduates — not because we don’t value them (we do), but because we want to make sure everyone gets the right level of support.

What you’ll get (beyond the obvious): Yes, there’s:

  • £60,000+ salary (FTE)
  • CPD + certificate support
  • Paid RCVS & VDS
  • Private health insurance
  • Pension, holidays, all the usual

But more importantly:

  • You’ll be listened to
  • You’ll be supported
  • You’ll feel part of something

And that makes a bigger difference than most job specs admit.

Why we’re different: We’re independent — which means:

  • We can actually change things when they need changing
  • You’re not just filling a gap on a rota here.

Or just get in touch for a chat — no pressure, no formalities.

One last thing: Most practices will tell you they’re "supportive" and have a "great team." We’d rather you come and see it for yourself.
