About Us

We're a fast-growing menswear brand, proudly designing exclusively for tall men. With a loyal and growing customer base, we're redefining fit, quality, and confidence for men over 6'3". We are looking for a driven and experienced Junior Buyer who has technical know-how and skill, as well as creative flair to join the buying team. This role presents a genuine opportunity for someone looking to grow, develop their skills and build their career alongside a fast-evolving brand. They will be responsible for always ensuring the strongest possible product offering is available to our customer. This position will be multi-product across apparel, footwear and accessories. The ideal candidate will thrive from working in a fast-paced environment and will have extensive knowledge of the market.

The Role

As a Buyer you will have responsibility for the buying and production of your own categories, working in partnership with Merchandising. This role manages the process to ensure that the collections, once designed, are appropriately developed, costed, and commercially assorted to deliver the best possible collection to our ecommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product
    • Multi-Product Range Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for diverse menswear categories (e.g., jersey, outerwear, accessories), working in partnership with merchandising ensuring a balanced and commercial product mix using given history, competitor analysis and new sales insight.
    • Technical Product Development: Use strong garment technology skills to review initial samples, advise on construction methods, and ensure products are "fit for purpose".
    • Trading & Performance Analysis: Monitor weekly sales data to identify bestsellers and react to performing or underperforming areas while maintaining a consistent product offer.
    • Work with merchandising to monitor OTB regularly to ensure the product development and repeat buys are in line with the overall budget strategy.
    • Grow Direct business and identify potential in the retail market.
    • Developing strong relationships with the supply base, merchandising, marketing and e-commerce teams.
    • Continued sales analysis and strategy implementation in partnership with planning to hit budget goals.
    • Awareness of trends, develop and source product and brands that are a great fit for 2tall.
    • Ability to react to changing demands of the marketplace.
    • Work with Head of Buying to set the supplier strategy, evaluate key suppliers, strengths and weaknesses and evolve / rationalise accordingly within business parameters.
    • Manage and negotiate prices with all suppliers on set areas, ensuring seasonal strategy is met.
  • Critical Path Management
    • Manage updates on product critical path – ensuring POs are correct on the system and reflect latest intake, offering guidance to junior members of the team.
    • Ensure that all Marketing & Ecommerce collateral is correct and up to date in accordance with business CP.
    • Small Team Versatility: Proactively assist with administrative tasks, sample management, and cross-functional duties as needed in a lean team environment.
  • People Management
    • Lead by example and communicate with clarity and consistency.
    • Ensure team is fully functioning and that cross functional relationships are maintained.
    • Train and develop individual team members to improve their individual capabilities and deliver functional expertise.

  • Garment Tech Proficiency: Solid understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and the fitting process (e.g., sealing samples and writing fit comments).
