I’m working with a highly regarded estate agency business looking to appoint a Head of Sales to lead its Chichester office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager, Associate Director, Valuer or Senior Lister who knows the Chichester market, is confident winning instructions and wants the opportunity to take real ownership of a successful sales operation.
You’ll be leading an established sales-only team of four, with your primary focus on driving market share, generating new business, winning instructions and ensuring the branch delivers an exceptional service to its clients.
The role
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of four sales professionals
- Carry out market appraisals and win new instructions
- Drive new business activity and increase the branch’s market share
- Build strong relationships with vendors and prospective clients
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Chichester and surrounding property market
- Oversee branch performance, pipelines and sales activity
- Coach the team to improve performance and deliver consistently high service levels
- Work closely with senior management while having autonomy over the day-to-day sales operation
- Represent the business professionally within the local market and community
Who I’m looking for
The key thing here is listing ability and local market knowledge. You could currently be a Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Associate Director, Valuer or an experienced Senior Negotiator ready for greater responsibility.
You will ideally have:
- A strong track record of winning residential sales instructions
- Good knowledge of Chichester and the surrounding area
- Confidence carrying out valuations and converting opportunities into instructions
- Strong commercial awareness and a new-business mindset
- The ability to lead, motivate and get the best from a small team
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- A professional, credible approach with the confidence to deal with property owners across a broad range of values
- A genuine desire to grow a branch rather than simply maintain an existing operation
Why consider it?
This is an opportunity to take responsibility for an established office within a respected, well-supported estate agency brand, while still having the autonomy to make an impact locally. There is also significant financial security when making the move, with:
- £420 per month car allowance or electric company car option
- Your birthday off
- Alternate Saturday working with a full day off in lieu
For the right person, this offers the chance to combine what they do best — listing, relationship building and winning business — with the opportunity to lead a capable team and build their reputation within the Chichester market.
