We are building something from the ground up. We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial CFO to lead the Finance function in a fast-growing, FCA-regulated lending business spanning motor finance and asset backed lending. This is not a “reporting only” CFO role. You will build the finance function, shape the funding strategy, and sit at the centre of growth, regulation, and investor relationships. SMF2 responsibility under FCA SM CR applies.

What you’ll own:

  • Build and lead the entire Finance function from scratch
  • Shape financial strategy, planning, and performance
  • Lead debt funding, warehouse facilities, and asset backed lending
  • Own liquidity, treasury, and capital structure
  • Deliver regulatory reporting and FCA engagement
  • Build systems, controls, and scalable finance operations
  • Partner directly with CEO, Board, investors, and lenders

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • 15+ years senior finance leadership experience
  • Strong background in lending (motor finance or ABL)
  • Experience building finance functions in growth environments
  • Exposure to structured funding or securitisation
  • Comfortable in regulated, fast-moving businesses

You will be:

  • A builder, not just a maintainer
  • Comfortable operating at Board level and in the detail
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially sharp, and execution focused
  • Strong on governance, regulation, and risk awareness

This is a rare opportunity to shape a finance function, funding platform, and regulated lender from day one.
