Overview
ASK MARC (Male Abuse Referral Centre) is a dedicated service that supports male victims of interpersonal abuse, including intimate‑partner violence, familial abuse, sexual violence, stalking, honour‑based abuse and forced marriage. The Centre operates across the Black Country, partnering with key agencies to assess risk, provide tailored support plans and raise awareness of the dynamics of abuse against men.
Job Role
Position: ASK MARC Manager
Type: Full‑time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: West Bromwich, covering the Black Country area
Salary: £34,946 – £39,863 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Closing date: 28 November 2025
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of advocates to promote and deliver the service to a high standard in line with Lime Culture and Respect.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with safeguarding processes, including MARAC, Domestic Abuse Related Death reviews, Serious Case reviews and other relevant frameworks.
- Work with the executive team to develop and expand the service across the West Midlands, identifying funding opportunities and negotiating contracts.
- Maintain evidence‑based interventions and quality assessment protocols, providing training and support to staff.
- Represent ASK MARC in multi‑agency meetings and external forums, advocating for men’s survivors and influencing policy and practice.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven managerial experience in a support service for vulnerable people.
- Experience with safeguarding, risk assessment and multi‑agency working.
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and a commitment to evidence‑based practice.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
Requirements
Per the Equality Act 2010, the post holder must be female. Employment checks, including Right to Work, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and enhanced disclosure, will be required.
