We have a cracking opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor (6+ PQE) who's ready to step up (or across) into a Head of Department role.
This is the gig for you if you:
- Know your way around both respondent and claimant work without Googling ET1 mid-meeting.
- Can lead, manage, inspire, and occasionally bribe your team with biscuits.
- Have opinions about hybrid working, settlement agreements, and what makes a good office chair.
- Want to work somewhere that's friendly, approachable, and not powered exclusively by passive-aggression and instant coffee.
You’ll need to be:
- A qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE in employment law.
- Battle-tested in managing your own caseload and navigating HR departments who use Comic Sans in grievance letters.
- Experienced in leading a team without losing your sanity (or at least not visibly).
- Commercially minded and cool under pressure (or at least convincing when you’re not).
Perks of the job include:
- 28 days annual leave.
- Discretionary bonus.
- Private medical, life cover, car parking (so your stress isn’t literally fatal).
- Hybrid working because commuting five days a week is so 2019.
The Firm:
A respected and growing practice, known for combining the high standards of a City firm with the charm (and sanity) of a regional one. The team advises individuals and businesses across a wide range of legal matters, with particular strengths in employment.
Whether you’re based locally or looking to swap the London commute for something greener (and with actual parking), this could be the career move that ticks all your boxes.
Think this sounds like your next move? Or know someone who’d be perfect (and tolerable in meetings)? We’re all about equal opportunity, inclusive hiring, and only mild sarcasm in job ads.
