Hambleton Steel are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operative to join their growing production team on a permanent backshift basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established steel manufacturing business offering stable work, overtime opportunities and long-term progression.
Pay Rates:
- Basic Rate (including 20% shift allowance): £17.41 per hour Monday to Friday
- Overtime: £26.11 per hour Saturday
- Overtime: £21.76 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficient operation of all CNC machinery
- Following daily processing checklists on CNC machinery
- Monitoring machine performance, maintenance and operational requirements
- Identifying improvements and making recommendations to increase efficiency
- Liaising with Voortman engineers regarding machinery breakdowns
- Working closely with Supervisors, Chargehands and the Works Manager
- Maintaining safe and efficient working practices throughout the workshop
Experience Preferred:
- Voortman blast, saw and drill machinery experience
- Kaltenbach Profitline fittings machine experience
- Peddinghaus saw/drill experience
- Previous CNC machining/operating experience within heavy engineering or steel environment
