Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical troubleshooting skills who enjoys providing first-class support to users and helping maintain reliable IT systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to ongoing IT projects and improvements.
Key Duties
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to internal users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Install, configure, and update software applications.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Escalate complex technical issues where required.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, support requests, and resolutions.
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and IT projects.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT Support, IT Technician, or Helpdesk role.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting hardware, software, printers, and networking equipment.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, and user administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple support requests.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Relevant IT qualifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent) are advantageous.
